Frequently asked questions
Do unused minutes carry over period to period?
No. Any unused included minutes expire at the end of each period. Wether it is a monthly period, or an annual period minutes reset with each new such period.
What happens if we hit our streams limit?
New calls will not start once all reserved streams are in use. Your app will receive a “Stream Capacity Reached” error. You can free a stream or add more reserved streams from the Web Console; changes take effect within seconds and are prorated for the rest of the period.
Alternatively you may opt-in to have streams added and charged automatically as needed in the Web Console’s API tab.
How are minutes measured?
We charge for the agent speech processed by the Accent Softening API. Usage is tracked per second and aggregated to minutes for billing. Silence that is not sent to the API is not billed.
What happens when we exceed the included minutes?
You keep using the solution without interruption. All minutes beyond the plan’s included amount are charged at the plan’s overage rate at the end of the billing month. If using an annual plan the extra minutes are charged every 3 months, based on the billing start date.
Can we add streams without changing plans?
Yes. Each plan includes a maximum number of included streams. You can add more streams at the plan’s per-seat add-on price shown above and keep your current plan. At 20 streams it is often more cost effective to upgrade to the Growth plan,
How are added streams charged?
Added streams are prorated for the remainder of the current month and included in the month-end true-up alongside any minute overage. For annual plans the true-up occurs every 3 months from the billing start date.
